A Vascular Wellness and Prevention Program
Hansen Family Hospital supports a proactive approach to fighting Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) with the development of a vascular screening program to help aid in detection of this potentially deadly disease.
CVD is a category of diseases that affect the heart and/or blood vessels. Three types of CVD include: Stroke, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), and Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD).
Vascular screening allows for the recognition of risk factors that may have gone unobserved for potentially years. Early knowledge and detection can considerably reduce the likelihood of damage.
The ultimate goal of this program is to provide additional preventive health & wellness opportunities for our patients and share the awareness of other preventive services:
- Diabetic education
- Healthy lifestyle change coaching
- Stress management
- Lab wellness exams
