Rich Jacobson, DNP, CRNA, ARNP, offers a holistic approach to acute and chronic pain management, which may include but not be limited to; personalized patient consultation, patient education with focus on prevention of reinjury, nonpharmacological treatments, pharmacological treatments, and injections if deemed appropriate.
Dr. Jacobson attended the University of Iowa, graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He completed his Master of Science degree from the US Army Program in Anesthesia Nursing in association with the University of Texas – Houston, Health Science Center in 2005. He obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2013 from Northeastern University. He spent 10 years providing anesthesia in all levels of care, to include Level 1 trauma centers, critical access facilities and 5 combat deployments. Upon retiring from the US Army in 2014, he returned to Iowa and completed a pain fellowship training program.
Dr. Jacobson will work with each patient individually to create a treatment plan that best benefits their needs. He will see patients for a variety of pain symptoms that often evolve from the back, bone, head, neck, face, joint, muscle, limb, nerves, and skin.
